MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Functional Consultant (Malaysia)

Location: Malaysia

Perm/Hybrid work setting

Salary: Negotiable based on experience (RM 10 000 – RM 15 000 pm)

Role Overview

The role calls for a motivated and highly skilled and experienced Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant to be a part of a dynamic D365 consultancy services team.

Act as a key subject matter expert in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations with specialized focus on supply chain, manufacturing, and advanced warehousing modules. Lead functional design, configuration, workshops, and end-to-end delivery to drive operational excellence for clients.

You will be responsible in managing clients in post-sale environments. You will also work directly with clients, managing projects which typically include requirements gathering, hands on configuration, process re-engineering, testing system interface, configurations and implementation. You will focus on knowing the applications functionality to a high degree.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with onsite engagement team & client team to gather requirements, determine expectations & finalise deliverables
  • Ensure quality project delivery of deliverables produced and demonstrate experience in system and functional testing
  • Demonstrate excellent foundational consulting skills, including analytical knowhow, written & verbal communication & team participation.
  • Assist with the gathering and documentation of functional requirements and completion of gap/fit analysis
  • Prepare Business Process Analysis & Functional Design documentation based on business requirements
  • Perform quality assurance by verifying the documented functional document against delivered application
  • Creates test requirements, cases and performance of testing to validate business processes
  • Responsible for conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully use of Microsoft Dynamics AX, D365 Finance & Operation or any other product being assigned to.
  • Contribute to and/or creation of solution documentation
  • Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues
  • Provide on-site support and assistance throughout delivery and go-live phases of project
  • Contribute to Pre-Sales activities as required including building demo and proof of concept solutions for various client presentations
  • Occasional involvement in responding to RFPs and RFQs
  • Identify practice development activities and help in defining how these will be delivered
  • Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
  • Have awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO
  • The Employee is required to follow Security Policies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree Level of Education (Finance related degree is preferred)
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and advance Warehouse Management modules
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in consultancy or end to end implementations
  • Subject matter expert in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations with specialized focus on supply chain, manufacturing, and advanced warehousing modules.
  • Proven track record in implementing at least 3 full cycle of ERP projects
  • Knowledge about ERP implementation methodologies
  • Good understanding of ERP functionalities relating to Sales, Procurement, Inventory and Production processes will have added advantage
  • Base knowledge of LCS and Azure DevOps
  • Strong Client Relationship Management
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Resilient and comfortable working in fast changing environments
  • Team player and able to work on own initiative
  • Travelling is required for this position including overseas business trip and possess own transport.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to X++, Visual Studio, or Azure DevOps—even through coursework or personal experimentation
  • Basic SQL or reporting familiarity
  • A genuine interest in mastering ERP modules like manufacturing, supply chain, or finance—especially in D365 F&O context
