Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno-Functional Lead Consultant to join our growing team. This is a senior, client-facing role, ideal for someone who can combine strong functional expertise with technical know-how to design, deliver, and support end-to-end Business Central solutions.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading implementations, guiding solution architecture, and bridging the gap between functional requirements and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead scope and analysis sessions with clients to gather requirements and design fit-for-purpose Business Central solutions.
  • Configure, customise, and extend Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design technical specifications, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Oversee and perform data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
  • Deliver workshops, training sessions, and provide post-implementation support to ensure user adoption.
  • Act as the lead consultant on projects, coordinating functional and technical resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest Dynamics 365 Business Central features, tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV.
  • Strong techno-functional expertise across core modules: Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Projects, and Manufacturing.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and provide practical solutions.
  • Experience with AL development, extensions, integrations, and system customisations (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications preferred.

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours during critical project phases.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available).
